Scheffler: “Come to Papa” — “I Will Win Every Tournament”

PONTE VEDRA BEACH — Scottie Scheffler greeted news of Tiger Woods’s return, Vijay Singh’s return and several other returns by quietly making additional shelf space.
“Come to Papa,” Scheffler said. “I will win every tournament.”
The statement was delivered with the calm expression of a man ordering his usual sandwich. A reporter asked whether he meant every tournament he entered. Scheffler asked why they were narrowing it down.
His team is exploring a trophy storage arrangement that treats the garage as a temporary solution.
Scheffler said he respects the legends deeply and looks forward to hearing their stories while standing slightly ahead of them at the presentation ceremony.
Tournament organizers asked what would happen if two events were played simultaneously. Scheffler said somebody should check the tee times before making this complicated.
