Brewers equipment truck seized: 400 cases of Miller, no baseball equipment
Authorities say the vehicle contained coolers, kegs, and zero evidence of normal baseball preparation.
LOS ANGELES — The Brewers’ equipment truck was reportedly seized after an inspection revealed 400 cases of Miller Lite, three industrial ice machines and no identifiable baseball equipment.
Asked to explain the absence of bats, gloves and uniforms, a Milwaukee equipment manager pointed to the cargo manifest, where every item had been entered under “team essentials.”
Officials said the backup keg raised additional questions. Milwaukee said it raised only one: whether there was enough ice if the series went seven games.
