Kyle Clow begs Venables to start eighth-grade daughter at quarterback
The scouting report lists pocket presence, algebra and the ability to bring snacks.

NORMAN, OK — Fan Kyle Clow has arrived at practice with a binder marked QB1 and a bold proposal: give his eighth-grade daughter the offense.
“She can throw a spiral, read a defense and finish her algebra homework,” Clow said. “Right now I would settle for two out of three.”
The presentation included a homemade depth chart, a list of references from school and a handwritten assurance that she would be available after fourth period.
An assistant coach reportedly asked about eligibility. Clow responded that she had never used a timeout unnecessarily and should therefore have plenty left.
The staff praised her commitment but noted several logistical obstacles, including school, age and the fact that a parent-teacher conference could overlap with the two-minute drill.
Clow remained optimistic. His next presentation will focus on why the team’s snack schedule needs a complete overhaul.
