Billy Bob Thornton warns fans to stay away from State Fair
“It ain’t a fair. It’s a Sooner fever dream.”

DALLAS — Billy Bob Thornton has issued a travel advisory warning football fans that the State Fair may contain dangerous concentrations of confidence, fried food and unsolicited rivalry analysis.
The actor reportedly arrived expecting a pleasant afternoon and instead encountered a man explaining a twelve-team playoff scenario to a butter sculpture.
“You all don’t want any part of this,” Thornton said. “I walked past one booth and they tried to sell me a corn dog and a theory about the offensive coordinator.”
Fair officials insisted the atmosphere remained family-friendly, provided no family member mentioned the previous year’s score.
Thornton was last seen leaving the grounds with a funnel cake and a firm commitment to watch the game somewhere without livestock.
